Latha Kalpee

DIRECTOR OF UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIPS

In her role as Director of University Partnerships, Latha is responsible for defining and delivering the strategic vision for each university. She handles university relationships and leads the launch, management and growth of their online programmes. Latha holds an Honours degree in Business Studies from the Open University Business School (UK).  

Latha has led the professionalisation function at the Institute of Risk Management South Africa where she expanded access and created revenue streams across the SADC region.  She developed and launched Risk Management Board Exams with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and the Quality Council for Trades & Occupations (QCTO).  

Prior to this she headed up the Risk Academy at Aon, led Marketing and Business Development at the Association of African Business Schools, worked at Deloitte, Werksmans Attorneys and Discovery Bank refining her professional services experience.  Latha cut her teeth at Durban University of Technology where she managed the Tutor Programme. Latha is a Founder of Knowledge for Africa, a non-profit organisation focusing on values-based education in disadvantaged primary schools in KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
