Varaidzo Mhangami

DIRECTOR OF UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIPS

Varaidzo is a custodian of HEP Africa’s relationship with its university partners responsible for the launch, management and growth of their online programmes. She holds an Honours degree in Marketing and Industrial Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa. 

Before joining HEP Africa, Varaidzo was the Chief Operating Officer of the South African Institute of Management (SAIM), the longest-standing professional body in South Africa. She was uniquely placed to lead the professional body, manage the SAIM College, head the SAIM Foundation and assist the board of directors during a period of significant growth and development for the institute. Varaidzo is a founder and member of SAIM Women in Management, a group that encourages professional women to develop networks. 

She is a recipient of the Women Economic Forum (WEF) Sisterhood Award and she has worked with the Reach For A Dream Foundation for over 15 years, volunteering with fundraisers to fulfil the dreams of children with life-threatening illnesses. Varaidzo mentors and coaches with The Dreamgirls Foundation and Alan Gray Foundation.
